TO EMPOWER OUR COMMUNITIES TO LEAD HEALTHY LIVES, AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATION

EL SOL NEC HAS CONTINUOUSLY REACHED OUT TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN BOTH RIVERSIDE AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY THROUGH ITS VARIOUS PROGRAMS. ALL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH EL SOL NEC ARE PROVIDED AT NO-COST. MORE THAN 225,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS WERE SERVED DURING 2021 THROUGHOUT THE INLAND EMPIRE FOR VARIOUS SERVICES, INCLUDING OUTREACH, EDUCATION, HOME VISITATION, AND CASE MANAGEMENT. APPROXIMATELY 350 COMMUNITY LEADERS RECEIVED TRAINING IN 2021. JUMP START IS AN ENGLISH AND LITERACY PROGRAM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO ADULTS OF ALL NATIONALITIES NO MATTER THEIR IMMIGRATION STATUS. THIS PROGRAM IS ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED HIGH SCHOOL AND WHO DESIRE TO INCREASE THEIR EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT FOR ENTRY OR ADVANCEMENT IN THE WORKFORCE OR FOR ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. HEALTHY CHILDREN AND RESILIENT FAMILIES SERVICES FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 0-5 AND EXPECTING MOTHERS. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON A 16 WEEK PARENTING CURRICULUM (NURTURING PARENTING), FAMILY STRENGTHENING TOOLS AND CASE MANAGEMENT. THE PARENTING LESSONS CONSIST OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT, APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINE STRATEGIES AND HOW TO STRENGTHEN THE BOND OF FAMILY MEMBERS. PEARLS IS A NATIONAL EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT PROGRAM FOR DEPRESSION TO HELP CREATE ACTIVE, REWARDING LIVES FOR SENIORS. THE PEARLS PROGRAM IS A HIGHLY EFFECTIVE METHOD DESIGNED TO REDUCE DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS AND IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OLDER ADULTS. OUR GOAL IS TO REDUCE DEPRESSION SYMPTOMS IN SENIORS AND EMPOWER THEM TO TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR LIVES. WE TEACH SENIORS TO ACCEPT THEIR LIMITATIONS AND ILLNESSES, AND TO NOT ALLOW THAT TO PREVENT THEM FROM LIVING FULFILLING LIVES.
