THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF THE DESERT MOUNTAINS IS TO PRESERVE LAND, TO SUPPORT EDUCATION, CONSERVATION AND RESEARCH IN THE COACHELLA VALLEY, AND TO ACT AS THE SUPPORT ORGANIZATION FOR THE SANTA ROSA & SAN JACINTO MOUNTAINS NATIONAL MONUMENT.

FRIENDS OF THE DESERT MOUNTAINS (FODM) PURCHASED 1,246 ACRES OF LAND IN 2021. THE OWNED LAND INVENTORY AT THE END OF 2021 WAS 18,681.78 ACRES. THE TOTAL OVERALL ACRES CONSERVED OR ASSISTED WITH BY FRIENDS IN THE COACHELLA VALLEY ARE NOW UP TO 61,013.03.
