THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER ADVOCATING FOR ADOLESCENCE AND CHILDREN, INC. (TLCAAC) IS DEVOTED TO IMPACTING THE NEXT GENERATION AND THE COMMUNITY. DURING THE LAST FIVE YEARS, THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER HAS PLANNED SEVERAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS TO CONVEY ITS PURPOSE AND VISION STATEMENTS. IT GIVES INDIVIDUALS A CHANCE TO COLLABORATE FOR THE GREATER GOOD BY INSPIRING, EDUCATING, AND CARING FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES TO PUT SHARED VALUES AND ASPIRATIONS INTO ACTION. MISSION THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER IS A MULTIFACETED FACILITY THAT PROVIDES A SAFE THERAPEUTIC ENVIRONMENT. THE TLCAAC OFFERS AN ENVIRONMENT OF WORK, LOVE, AND PLAY. WE OFFER COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES, SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS, AND COUNSELING. OUR SERVICES TEACH RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY THAT PROMOTE HEALING. THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER HOSTED SEVERAL EVENTS, SOME OF WHICH IT FOUNDED AND/OR PARTICIPATED IN. THESE INCLUDE THE SENIORS EVENT, THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC, THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, THE MULTI-CULTURAL DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION, JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT-CAREER DAY, ENTREPRENEUR CLASSES, DECA, FEEDING THE HUNGRY, AND MUNSTER INCUBATORS. EVERY ACTIVITY AND PARTICIPATION GUARANTEED THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER'S EXISTENCE AND RESULTED IN NUMEROUS NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. ONE MAIN EVENT HELD BY THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER AAC, INC. WAS THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC AT THE NEIGHBORING PARK. DONORS CONTRIBUTED TO THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER TO HELP THE KIDS HAVE A GREAT TIME IN THE PARK. BACKPACKS, SOFT DRINKS, CLOTHING, FOOD, GIFT CARDS, AND GIFTS WERE PROVIDED TO ENSURE THAT BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN HAD A SUCCESSFUL CELEBRATION. THERE WAS A PETTING ZOO AS WELL. WE GLADLY SERVED OVER 200 FAMILIES AT THE EVENT. THIS EDUCATIONAL AND PLAYFUL GATHERING WAS WELL-SUPPORTED AND APPRECIATED BY THE COMMUNITY. PUBLIC AWARENESS HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY THANKS IN LARGE PART TO SOCIAL MEDIA. THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER HAS RECEIVED OVER 12,000 VIEWS THUS FAR. THERE ARE MORE THAN 2,800 VISITORS TO THE SITE. THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER HAS BENEFITED THE COMMUNITY BY HOSTING MORE THAN 50 EVENTS AND HAS HELPED WELL OVER 2,000 KIDS. WE ARE ADVOCATING FOR AN INCREASE IN SPONSORSHIPS, DONORS, AND VOLUNTEERS. TLC HAS NOT RECEIVED A GRANT.
