LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY: NATIONAL CAPITAL LYME DISEASE ASSOCIATION CREATES AND PARTICIPATES IN ACTIVITIES TO EDUCATE LEGISLATORS TO THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF LYME DISEASE ON THEIR CONSTITUENTS AND THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL AND TO ADVOCATE TO LOCAL AND FEDERAL AGENCIES AND LEGISLATIVE BODIES ON THE NEED FOR PROTECTION AND RELIEF FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM THIS EVER-SPREADING DISEASE.


PUBLIC INFORMATION AND AWARENESS: NATIONAL CAPITAL LYME DISEASE ASSOCIATION PRINTS BROCHURES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AMONG OTHER THINGS, OF THE DANGERS AND SYMPTOMS OF LYME DISEASE AND HOW TO LIMIT EXPOSURE TO TICKS AND THE PROPER REMOVAL OF TICKS FROM THE BODY.
