COORDINATE AVAILABLE RESOURCES TO ADDRESS CONCERNS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BELLE FOURCHE RIVER WATERSHED AND RIPARIAN AREAS USING THE COORDINATED RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PROCESS. ONE OF THE CONCERNS IS THE CONSERVATION OF THE WATERSHED'S NATURAL RESOURCES. THE OTHER CONCERN IS COMPLIANCE WITH CERTAIN EPA REGULATIONS AND PROVISIONS OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT UNDER SECTION 319.

THE PARTNERSHIP IS CONTINUING TO MONITOR WATER QUALITY AS WELL AS GATHERING DATA TO COMPLETE AN ASSESSMENT OF THE RIVERBED. THEY ARE CURRENTLY ANALYZING LAND USES IN UPLAND AREAS AND EVALUATING THE EFFECTS ON THE BELLE FOURCHE WATERSHED. THIS INCLUDES ASSISTING WILLING LAND OWNERS TO DEVELOP RANGE MANAGEMENT PLANS THAT MAINTAIN COVER ON THE RANGELAND AND MINIMIZE SUSPENDED SOLIDS IN THE WATER.
