ACQUIRED FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO 81.42 ACRES IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH LAND PROVIDES BUFFERS TO UNNAMED TRIBUTARIES IN THE NEUSE RIVER BASIN.


ACQUIRED FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO 65.903 ACRES IN NASH COUNTY, WHICH LAND PROVIDES BUFFERS FOR FISHING CREEK.


RECEIVED A DONATION OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT ON 97.30 ACRES IN PERSON COUNTY, WHICH LAND PROVIDES BUFFERS FOR THE SOUTH FLAT RIVER.


TAR RIVER LAND CONSERVANCY ACHIEVED ITS LAND PROTECTION MISSION THROUGH THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS: 4) RECEIVED A DONATION OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT ON 77.81 ACRES IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH LAND PROVIDES BUFFERS TO LEDGE CREEK. 5) RECEIVED A DONATION OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT ON 42.16 ACRES IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH LAND PROVIDES BUFFERS TO LEDGE CREEK. 6) SPENT SIGNIFICANT TIME AND RESOURCES ON LAND PROTECTION PROJECTS LOCATED IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH LANDS WILL PROVIDE A BUFFER FOR CAMP BUTNER AND LOCAL RESOURCES. 7) SPENT SIGNIFICANT TIME AND RESOURCES ON LAND PROTECTION PROJECTS LOCATED IN PERSON COUNTY, WHICH LANDS WILL PROVIDE A BUFFER FOR FLAT RIVER AND LOCAL RESOURCES. 8) SPENT SIGNIFICANT TIME AND RESOURCES ON LAND PROTECTION PROJECTS AND OUTREACH TO LANDOWNERS IN HALIFAX AND NASH COUNTIES, WHICH LANDS PROVIDE BUFFERS TO FISHING CREEK AND LITTLE FISHING CREEK. 9) OPENED 2.4 MILES OF PUBLIC HIKING TRAILS IN GRANVILLE COUNTY. 10) ENGAGED LOCAL VOLUNTEERS ON THE INSTALLATION OF A 1.9-ACRE PUBLIC HIKING TRAIL IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH OPENED AFTER THE END OF THE YEAR. 11) TOOK THE INITIAL STEPS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF AN ADDITIONAL HIKING TRAIL IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, WHICH MAY BE READY TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC IN 2024. 12) HOSTED EVENTS TO PLANT TREES IN BUFFERS ALONG WATERWAYS TO ENHANCE WATER QUALITY AND TO PROVIDE WILDLIFE HABITAT. 13) MONITORED CONSERVATION EASEMENTS AND FEE PROPERTIES HELD BY TRLC. 14) MONITORED 55 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS HELD BY THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA.
