CENTRAL OHIO TRAUMA SYSTEM (COTS) WAS FORMED IN 1997 AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION TO REDUCE INJURIES AND SAVE LIVES BY IMPROVING AND COORDINATING TRAUMA CARE, EMERGENCY CARE AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS SYSTEMS IN CENTRAL OHIO. IN 2019, WE UPDATED OUR ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION TO REFLECT OUR EXPANSION OF COORDINATION TO THROUGHOUT OHIO, FROM ITS PREVIOUS FOCUS OF ONLY CENTRAL OHIO. COTS SUPPORTS PREVENTION, EDUCATION, DATA COLLECTION AND RESEARCH INITIATIVES.
