176 MEMBERS HAD ACCESS TO THE CLUB'S FLEET OF 17 SAILBOATS FOR TRAINING AND RECREATIONAL USE. FOR 2021, THE CLUB RESUMED REGULAR IN-PERSON SAILING EDUCATION AND TRAINING AFTER SUSPENSION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. OVER 40 ON-THE-WATER SAILING INSTRUCTION SESSIONS WERE HELD DURING THE SAILING SEASON. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A MULTI-DAY CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION PROGRAM FOR THE SAILBOAT RACING PROGRAM. THE TRIP TO THE APOSTLE ISLANDS WAS RESUMED. THIS TRIP PROVIDED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE ON LARGE CRUISING KEELBOATS. THOSE ACTIVITIES AREN'T POSSIBLE WITH THE CLUB-OWNED SMALL SAILBOATS ON THE CLUB'S HOME LAKE IN MINNEAPOLIS. ALSO, FOLLOWING SUSPENSION DURING THE PANDEMIC, THE CLUB RESUMED INTAKE OF NEW MEMBERS. 58 NEW MEMBERS FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC WERE ADMITTED TO THE CLUB VIA A RANDOM SELECTION PROCESS DUE TO HIGH DEMAND FOR THE LIMITED SLOTS AVAILABLE. THE CLUB ACCEPTS ADULT MEMBERS WITH ALL LEVELS OF SAILING EXPERIENCE.
