LAIPA IS A WOMAN-CENTERED ORGANIZATION WHOSE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A SPACE FOR INDIGENOUS WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES TO FREE THE POWER AND STRENGTH THAT THEY HOLD AND BECOME A POSITIVE FORCE FOR CHANGE IN THEIR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY. THROUGH SOCIO-ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND CULTURAL IDENTITY-AWARENESS, LAIPA BELIEVES THAT WOMEN CAN BE THE LEADING FORCE IN RESISTING THE FACTORS THAT PROMOTE CULTURAL GENOCIDE RESULTING IN THE BREAKDOWN OF PERSONAL AND FAMILY WELLNESS.
