THE WINTERCARE ENERGY FUND PROVIDES UTILITY PAYMENT ASSISTANCE TO HOUSEHOLDS THAT ARE IN CRISIS SITUATIONS AND NEED TO HAVE UTILITY SERVICE CONNECTED, RE-CONNECTED OR ARE IN DANGER OF BEING DISCONNECTED. IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED LOW-INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE TO 1,669 HOUSEHOLDS AND 4,021 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH 20 COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES.
