ALTERNATIVE RESIDENCES III OPERATES THREE-8 BED INTERMEDIATE CARE/INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY HOMES IN OHIO. IT SUPPORTS 24 MEN AND WOMEN IN THE THREE HOMES. ALL OF THE RESIDENTS ATTEND EITHER A RESCARE-OPERATED DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM OR THE COUNTY-OPERATED SHELTERED WORKSHOP. SEVERAL OF THE RESIDENTS ARE ALSO INVOLVED IN VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING THE ANIMAL SHELTER AND FOOD PANTRY. WE CONTINUE TO FOCUS OUR PRIMARY MISSION-INCREASING INDEPENDENCE OF THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WE SUPPORT AS WELL AS MAINTAINING AND INCREASING PERSONAL AND COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS.
