TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH VARIOUS NON-PROFIT PROGRAMS.

THE YMCA PROVIDES A PRESCHOOL AND TODDLER PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 18 MONTHS THROUGH 5 YEARS. APPROXIMATELY FORTY PERCENT OF THE CHILDREN ARE ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM THROUGH ASSISTANCE FROM OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES SO THAT THEY ARE PREPARED FOR KINDERGARTEN AS WELL AS LEARNING CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY. THE YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP ENSURES CHILDREN HAVE A SAFE PLACE WHILE PARENTS ARE WORKING. THE PROGRAM TEACHES CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY WHILE PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL GAMES, ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS. OVER 25% OF THE CHILDREN IN THE PROGRAM ARE RECEIVING ASSISTANCE FROM OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES OR THE YMCA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THE YMCA PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY. THE YMCA WORKS WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS ON A FAMILY OBESITY PROGRAM BOTH AT THE YMCA AND IN ONE CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL PER SESSION. THE YMCA TEACHES CHILDREN WATER EDUCATION, SPORTS SKILLS AND OTHER HEALTHY ACTIVITIES.
