MISSION IS TO DEVELOP, SUSTAIN AND NURTURE HEALTHY BONDS BETWEEN VULNERABLE POPULATIONS AND ANIMALS,INITIALLY BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF PETS OWNED BY OLDER ADULTS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILIES RECEIVING ESSENTIAL VETERINARY AND OTHER PET CARE SERVICES, STARTING IN NORTHEAST OHIO.

PET HEALTHCARE PROGRAM - PROVIDE RESOURCESBESIDES PROVIDING VOUCHERS FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS TO HELP THEM AFFORD VETERINARY CARE FOR THEIR DOGS AND CATS, THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES OTHER RESOURCES PET OWNERS CAN ACCESS TO BENEFIT THE HEALTH OF THEIR PETS. THE VOUCHER-BASED PROGRAM OPENNED IN JANUARY 2021 TO ANY LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLD WHERE INCOME IS AT OR BELOW 200% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY RATE. VOUCHER RECIPIENTS MUST LIVE IN CUYAHOGA, LAKE, GEAUGA, SUMMITT, MEDINA, PORTAGE, AND LORAIN COUNTIES. VOUCHERS CAN BE USED AS PAYMENTS FOR VETERINARY CARE PROVIDED BY ONE OF OVER THIRTY VETERINARY PARTNERS IN THE SEVEN-COUNTY SERVICE AREA. ANY PER OWNER LIVING IN NOERTHEAST OHIO CAN BENEFIT FROM THE LIST OF RESOURCES COLLECTED AND MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE, SUCH AS A MAP OF VETERINARY CLINICS IN THE AREA PLUS OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT HELP KEEP PETS HEALTHY AND HAPPY. THEY CAN ALSO CALL THE OFFICE TO FIND THE RESOURCES THEY HAVE TROUBLE ACCESSING OR NAVIGATING THE INTERNET.


PET OWNERS SERVICES - INFORM PET PARENTSONE HEALTH ORGANIZATION EXPANDED THE ONLINE INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE ABOUT KEEPING PET HEALTHY AND HAPPY THROUGH BLOGS, NEWSLETTERS, SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, AND DIRECT MAIL. PLANS INCLUDE WEBINARS AND SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS TO HELP PEOPLE PREPARE FOR THEIR PETS CARE THROUGHOUT THE LIFE OF THEIR PET.


PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES - BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS FOR A BOLD PLANFORGING PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER NONPROFITS AND BUSINESSES IS NEEDED TO INCREASE ACCESS TO VETERINARY SERVICES FOR ALL PET PARENTS.
