THE PRIMARY PURPOSE IS FOR TEACHER-LED PRACTICE OF MEDITATION. THIS IS A METHOD FOR DEVELOPING MINDFULNESS AND CONCENTRATION. THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ON-GOING INSTRUCTION IN SITTING AND WALKING MEDITATION ALONG WITH DHARMA TALKS AND DISCUSSION.

LONG BEACH MEDITATION OFFERS WEEKLY SUNDAY, MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY MEDITATION CLASSES AND TALKS AS WELL AS MONTHLY FULL MOON MEDITATIONS, HALF-DAY AND FULL-DAY RETREATS. ATTENDANCE VARIES. SOME EVENTS ARE DONATION BASED AND OTHERS ARE FEE-BASED. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ALL EVENTS WERE MOVED TO THE ONLINE PLATFORM, ZOOM. IN JULY 2021 WE BEGAN OFFERING A HYBRID OPTION OF IN-PERSON AND ONLINE.
LONG BEACH MEDITATION OFFERED ONE WEEKEND RETREAT IN SEPTEMBER HELD OFFSITE.
LONG BEACH MEDITATION OFFERED ONE MULTI-WEEK CLASS ONLINE CALLED LIVING DHARMA.
