THE TEXAN-FRENCH ALLIANCE FOR THE ARTS IS A NON-PROFIT, 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED IN 2004. ITS MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR CITIES AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES USING ART, ALONG WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES, AS A CATALYST TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE. TFAA ALSO STRENGTHENS AT RISK COMMUNITIES THROUGH CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL ARTS PROGRAMS (INCLUDING THE OPEN THE DOOR AND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING BE THE PEACE - BE THE HOPE ALLIANCE PROGRAMS) BY EQUIPPING THEM WITH THE TOOLS TO OVERCOME THEIR CHALLENGES AND BUILD A BETTER FUTURE.

THE ORGANIZATION STRIVES TO BRIDGE CULTURES, COMMUNITIES AND ART, AND IS DEDICATED TO INCREASING APPRECIATION OF ARTISTIC, CULTURAL, AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS BETWEEN THE TEXAN AND FRENCH CULTURES. WE IMPLEMENT LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS THAT CONSISTENTLY RESPOND TO INDENTIFIED NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY AND HAVE RELEVANT, LONG TERM POSITIVE IMPACTS ON THE CITY AS A WHOLE. THE ORGANIZATION DOES THIS BY PROVIDING SUCH PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WITH COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMS, WORKS OF ART AND EVENTS, WE SEEK TO BREAK DOWN SOCIAL BARRIERS AND CULTURAL STEREOTYPES WHILE FOCUSING ON INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING.
