THE MISSION OF PERFORMING ARTS CENTER EASTSIDE IS TO TRANSFORM LIVES AND ENRICH THE COMMUNITY BY PRESENTING ARTISTIC, CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCES OF HIGHEST QUALITY TO ALL WITHIN ITS REACH.

WORK CONTINUED ON INITIATIVES TOWARD THE APPLICATION OF THE RESEARCH CONDUCTED WITH AREA ARTS EDUCATION LEADERS TO DETERMINE HOW PACE CAN SUPPORT THEM WITH RESOURCES, RESEARCH, EXPERTISE, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE, ACCESS TO TRAINING, AND ORGANIZATIONAL BACKING. A FULL-TIME STAFF MEMBER, IDENTIFIED IN FY '19, DEVELOPED FURTHER LONG-TERM VISION OF PACE'S JOURNEY TOWARD THE PROVISION OF MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY SERVICE, INCLUDING A COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIC PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A REGIONAL ARTS EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS COALITION. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021, PACE RESPONDED TO COMMUNITY NEED FOR ARTISTIC CONTENT BY CREATING ITS FIRST EVER ARTS WITHOUT BARRIERS PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM BEGAN WITH BUSKER-STYLE ARTIST PERFORMANCES THROUGHOUT THE EASTSIDE REGION, PROVIDING OVER 90 PERFORMANCES THAT REACHED OVER 37,000 RESIDENTS.
