THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND MISSION OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE TO 1) FOSTER INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP; 2) STRIVE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING ON ALL MEMBER SCHOOLS; 3) ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND WELFARE OF INDIVIDUALS BELONGING TO THE EDUCATIONAL STAFFS OF MEMBER SCHOOLS; 4) FACILITATE AND ENHANCE COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATIVE ACTION BETWEEN AND AMONG MEMBER SCHOOLS; 5)ACTIVELY PURSUE COOPERATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATION AND INDIVIDUALS PURSUING COMMON OBJECTIVES; 6) ENGAGE IN ALL OTHER ACTIVITIES APPROPRIATE TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ITS EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE OBJECTIVE.

EXEMPT PURPOSE ACHIEVEMENTS AISA HOSTS REGIONAL CONFERENCES FOR 80 MEMBER SCHOOLS IN AFRICA. IN ADDITION, THE ASSOCIATION COMPILES NEWSLETTERS AND SET UP INSTITUTES FOR THE MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION ARRANGES FOR CONSULTANTS TO ADVISE SCHOOLS AS THE NEED ARISES.
