TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF SURRY COUNTY SCHOOLS AND TO HELP RAISE THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION IN SURRY COUNTY. MONIES RAISED BY THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION SUPPLIES TO STUDENTS WITH DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED; AWARD GRANT MONIES TO TEACHERS WITH EXTRAORDINARY CLASSROOM PROJECTS; PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS ACADEMIC CAMPS, TECHNOLOGY, ETC.; PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEACHERS; PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP; AND FACILITATE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.

IN 2021 THE FOUNDATION MADE GRANTS TO THE 19 SCHOOLS IN THE DISTRICT IN ORDER TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF SURRY COUNTY SCHOOLS. DURING 2021 GRANTS WERE USED FOR SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAMS, ACADEMIC AND ARTS CLUB SUPPLIES, EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM, ARTS PERFORMANCE SUPPORT, AND MORE
