ORGANIZE FLORIDA EDUCATION FUND IS A NONPARTISAN, NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT BOTH TRAINS AND DEVELOPS LEADERS AND ORGANIZES FAMILIES IN LOW TO MODERATE INCOME COMMUNITIES IN FLORIDA. OUR VISION IS FOR THESE COMMUNITIES TO BECOME CRITICALLY ENGAGED IN THE POLITICAL SYSTEM IN ORDER TO CREATE A MORE JUST AND EQUITABLE SOCIETY.

Part 3

THIRD PARTY VOTER REGISTRATION PROJECT: IN 2020, OFEF ENGAGED IN A VOTER REGISTRATION PROJECT TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE POLITICAL SYSTEM.


DISASTER RESILIENCE INITIATIVE: IN 2020, OFEF LAUNCHED ITS DISASTER RESILIENCE INITIATIVE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. WE EDUCATED COMMUNITIES ON HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE AFTERMATH OF NATURAL DISASTERS AND PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING. WE ALSO BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER WITH LOCAL PREPAREDNESS OFFICIALS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS TO TALK ABOUT THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF EACH OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.


LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: OFEF PARTICPATED IN ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT THEIR MISSION STATEMENT DURING 2019. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES WORKSHOP TRAINING AND THE REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE PROGRAM THAT EDUCATES THE PUBLIC REGARDING CURRENT POLICIES AND ADVOCATES FOR WOMEN TO HAVE ACCESS TO MEDICALLY ACCURATE INFORMATION CONCERNING HEALTHCARE SERVICES.
