THE MISSION OF GREEN LIVING SCIENCE IS TO TRANSFORM DETROIT BY TEACHING ABOUT WASTE AND RECYCLING. WE ARE DEDICATED TO INCREASING AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH EDUCATION.

COMMUNITY - GLS WORKS CLOSELY IN THE COMMUNITY TO HELP PROVIDE ACCESS TO PROGRAMMING. COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING TARGETS RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES AND HELPS TO BRING NEW RESOURCES TO THE LINCOLN STREET ART PARK.


CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM: RECYCLING WORKSHOPS: GLS HOSTS RECYCLING WORKSHOPS AT BLOCK CLUB AND COMMUNITY GROUP MEETINGS TO TRAIN DETROIT RESIDENTS LIVING IN SINGLE FAMILY HOMES OR MULTI-FAMILY HOMES NO MORE THAN 4 UNITS HOW TO RECYCLE THROUGH THE CITY CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM.


EDUCATION: WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS, WE PROVIDE RECYCLING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. THESE LESSONS ARE ALIGNED WITH MICHIGAN SCIENCE STANDARDS, AND HEAVILY INCORPORATE THE DIFFERENT STEAM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, MATH) DISCIPLINES.
