THE MISSION OF THE GHANA SCHOLARSHIP FUND IS TO EDUCATE CHILDREN IN RURAL GHANA BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO POOR STUDENTS WHO COULD NOT AFFORD A UNIVERSITY EDUCATION. WE ALSO MAINTAIN A STUDENT-ORIENTED LIBRARY IN THE VILLAGE OF SENCHI FERRY. THE LIBRARY HAS FULL COMPUTER BASED EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL, AGE AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE BOOKS. TO DATE WE HAVE PROVIDED 144 UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS, LAPTOP COMPUTER FOR EACH STUDENT ETC. LIBRARY ATTENDANCE IS ABOUT 200 STUDENTS PER DAY. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 38 STUDENTS ENROLLED IN UNIVERSITY AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $1300 PER STUDENT ANNUALLY AND COST TO MAINTAIN THE LIBRARY IS APPROXIMATELY $1000 PER MONTH. SINCE THE PANDEMIC COSTS AND THE RATE OF INFLATION HAVE ESCALATED.
