TO PROVIDE AN AVENUE TO DEVELOP, PROTECT, AND MARKET NON-PATENTABLE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CREATED BY FACULTY AND STAFF AT UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON, WITH A FOCUS ON PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN THE AREA OF EDUCATION RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT.

WORLD-CLASS INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND ASSESSMENT (WIDA) - PROVIDES DISSEMINATED EDUCATION MATERIALS THAT HELP K-12 EDUCATORS SERVE STUDENTS WHO ARE NEW TO THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS.


LEADERSHIP EVALUATION TOOLS - CONSIST OF COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF LEADERSHIP FOR LEARNING AND AIW INSTITUTE THAT PROVIDES LEADERSHIP EVALUATION TOOLS FOR K-12 SCHOOLS TO UNDERSTAND IF THEY ARE SERVING ALL STUDENTS OF ALL ABILITIES AND SOCIOECONOMIC STATUSES. THESE TOOLS HELP SCHOOLS DO THE TASKS RESEARCH HAS PROVEN ARE NEEDED TO HELP ALL STUDENTS THRIVE IN SCHOOLS.


EDUCATION - EACH YEAR WCEPS DETERMINES WHETHER EXCESS REVENUE CAN BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE UW AND UW FOUNDATION. IN FISCAL YEAR 2022 WCEPS GRANTED $342,000 TO UW FOUNDATION. WE DO THIS VIA THE UW MADISON AND UW FOUNDATION SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION PER BELOW: THE CORPORATION IS AUTHORIZED BY ITS ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION TO BE OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY "FOR THE BENEFIT OF, TO PERFORM THE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES [OF], OR TO CARRY OUT THE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES OF, THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON AND UW FOUNDATION, AND IN PARTICULAR, OF ITS SCHOOL OF EDUCATION." ACCORDINGLY, THE CORPORATION IS LIMITED BY THE PROVISIONS OF ITS ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION TO MAKING GRANTS TO ONLY THE UNIVERSITY, THE SCHOOL, THE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION, ANY OTHER SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OR SCHOOL, AND OTHER PERMISSIBLE BENEFICIARIES AS SET FORTH IN THE TREASURY REGULATIONS.


WEBB ALIGNMENT - PROVIDES STUDIES THAT ALLOW PUBLIC EDUCATION OFFICIALS IN DIFFERENT STATES TO UNDERSTAND TO WHAT EXTENT THEIR STATE'S K-12 ASSESSMENTS MEASURE CERTAIN STANDARDS, SUCH AS THE COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS.
