Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

THE ORGANIZATION STANDS FOR EVERY PET AND PET OWNER BY MAKING THE HIGHEST QUALITY VETERINARY CARE AND SPAY NEUTER SERVICES AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE, WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING THE NUMBER OF DOGS AND CATS EUTHANIZED IN REGIONAL SHELTERS AND CREATING A COMMUNITY WITHOUT HOMELESS PETS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

WHILE 2021 SAW THE RESUMPTION OF SOME DEGREE OF NORMALCY FOLLOWING THE WILD RIDE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC, THE YEAR COULD NOT BE CHARACTERIZED AS "BUSINESS AS USUAL" FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS. THE DEMAND FOR BOTH VETERINARY AND SPAY NEUTER SERVICES ESCALATED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR (EVERYONE SEEMED TO HAVE ACQUIRED A COVID PUPPY OR KITTEN)AND IT FORCED OUR TEAM TO CONTINUE TO ADAPT OUR OPERATIONAL MODEL TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR BOTH ANNUAL AND SICK CARE. ADDITIONALLY, HIRING NEW STAFF WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. WE WERE NOT EXEMPTED FROM THE NATIONWIDE EMPLOYEE TREND TO "OPT OUTX AND FOUND THIS TO BE TRUE FOR BOTH ADMINISTRATIVE AND MEDICAL STAFF. FORTUNATELY WE WERE ABLE TO REPLENISH OUR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FUND TO HELP PETS IN NEED. WE ALSO FINANCED $73,804 IN PAYMENT PLANS WHICH ALLOWED OUR CLIENTS TO PAY OVER TIME WITHOUT INTEREST. WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT WE WERE PROVIDING SERVICES CURBSIDE TO RENOVATE THE BUILDING ON 32ND STREET BY BUILDING OUT ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPACE AND MAKING OUR VETERINARY SPACE MORE EFFICIENT. WE ALSO LEASED AND BEGAN THE PROCESS OF RENOVATING A NEW 13,000 SQ. FT. BUILDING IN MOORESVILLE.
