EAST TAMPA SCHOOL - BY BRINGING THE BEST OF WHAT SCIENCE TELLS US ABOUT HOW YOUNG MINDS LEARN, WE LAUNCHED A K-2ND SCHOOL IN 2017 TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ONE OF THE LOWEST INCOME COMMUNITIES IN FLORIDA. OUR MISSION WAS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF 80% OF STUDENTS FAILING BY THIRD GRADE IN THE NEARBY SCHOOL. IN OUR FIRST YEAR, THE MAJORITY OF OUR STUDENTS ACHIEVED GRADE LEVEL OR HIGHER. OUR STUDENTS HAD MORE THAN A YEAR'S GROWTH AND OUR SCHOOL WAS AMONG THE BETTER PERFORMING SCHOOLS IN THE 9TH LARGEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE US.

JERRY LIEBERMAN QUALITY OF LIFE - WE'VE EMBARKED ON A MULTI-PRONGED RESEARCH PROJECT TO UNDERSTAND THE KEY TO NORWAY'S SUCCESS AND TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ELEMENTS OF ITS SUCCESS WE CAN EMULATE IN THE U.S. THIS INITIATIVE HAS ALSO WORKED CLOSELY WITH SOME OF OUR LONG-TERM AND STRATEGIC PARTNERS IN NOT ONLY NORWAY, BUT ALSO WITH MONDRAGON UNIVERSITY IN SPAIN. THE MONDRAGON CORPORATION PROVIDES AN EXEMPLARY MODEL FOR STUDYING COLLABORATIVES AND HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE.

EDUCATION INITIATIVE THIS PROJECT IS A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT TO IDENTIFYING AND EVOLVING MORE VIABLE SYSTEMS FOR HEALTHY HUMAN LEARNING AND EDUCATION. THIS INVOLVES HOLDING WORKSHOPS, ON THE GROUND COMMUNITY-CENTRED INITIATIVES (SUCH AS VPK AND AFTERCARE PROGRAM), AND A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS WHICH DEMONSTRATES HOW EVOLUTIONARY THEORY CAN PRODUCE A COMPREHENSIVE, MEANINGFUL SCIENCE OF EDUCATION.
