ENGAGING IN PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS AND DIRECT CONTACT WITH INTERESTED CONSTITUENCIES TO ADVOCATE POLICY OUTCOMES ON PENDING LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ISSUES SUCH AS: HEALTH CARE REFORM, TAXES, SPENDING AND DEFICITS, CONGRESSIONAL REFORM AND ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THESE ISSUE ADVOCACY AND GRASSROOTS LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS TO PROMOTE POLICIES THAT STRENGTHEN THE NATION'S ECONOMY, REDUCE REGULATION OF PRIVATE SECTOR ACTIVITY, AND RESTORE GOVERNMENT TO A SOUND FINANCIAL FOOTING.

THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS AND BUILDS GRASSROOTS TO INFLUENCE POLICYMAKING OUTCOMES THROUGH GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION AND ADVOCACY. THE FOCUS OF THESE ADVOCACY EFFORTS MAY INCLUDE LEGISLATION, BUDGET PRIORITIES, REGULATIONS, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND INVESTIGATIONS, AND OTHER POLICYMAKING ACTIVITIES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ENGAGES CITIZENS TO PARTICIPATE IN GRASSROOTS ADVOCACY ON PENDING LEGISLATIVE ISSUES THROUGH PAID ADVERTISING, MAILINGS, E-MAILS, AND WEB-BASED ADVOCACY TOOLS.
CROSSROADS GPS CONDUCTS RESEARCH TO DETERMINE HOW VARIOUS DEMOGRAPHIC GROUPS RESPOND TO CURRENT NATIONAL POLICY ISSUES, WHAT PRIORITIES AND CONCERNS THEY HAVE, AND WHICH PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES THEY MIGHT BE MOST INCLINED TO TAKE ACTION ON THROUGH GRASSROOTS PARTICIPATION.
