THE NUCLEAR POWER LABOR MANAGEMENT COOPERATION COMMITTEE TRUST (TRUST) EXISTS TO ASSIST EMPLOYERS AND UNIONS IN SOLVING PROBLEMS OF MUTUAL CONCERN AS PROVIDED FOR BY SECTION 302(C)(9) OF THE TAFT-HARTLEY ACT, 29 USC, SECTION 186(C)(9) FOR ANY AND ALL PURPOSES SET FORTH IN SECTION 6(B) OF THE LABOR-MANAGEMENT COOPERATION ACT OF 1978, INCLUDING THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF NUCLEAR POWER FACILITIES. THE TRUST'S JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS, JOB SECURITY, COMPETITIVENESS, PRODUCTIVITY, ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND IN PARTICULAR IN THE NUCLEAR POWER CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
