TO PROVIDE RELIEF FOR THE POOR, DISTRESSED AND UNDER-PRIVELEGED IN HAITI THROUGH EDUCATION, TRAINING FOOD DISTRIBUTION, CLOTHING, HEALTH CARE AND SHELTER.

PROVIDED SPORTS GEARS INCLUDING T-SHIRTS, JERSEYS, PANTS, FOOTWEAR, OBTAINED FROM DONATIONS FOR THE YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY OF NW HAITI TO ENGAGE IN SOCCER GAMES FOR RECREATION AND SOCIALIZATION. THIS ACTIVITY HELPED TO KEEP THE YOUTH OFF THE STREETS AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE REDUCTION OF INVOLVEMENT IN DELINQUENT ACTIVITIES. ALSO PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO OFF SET THE COST OF TRANSPORTATION AND INCENTIVES FOR ACHIEVING GOALS.
PROVIDED TRAINING AND MOBILIZED VOLUNTEERS TO CLEAN UP COMMUNITIES IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS. GARBAGE BAGS, GLOVES, T-SHIRTS, SHOVELS AND PICKS WERE ISSUED TO VOLUNTEERS WHO WERE ASSIGNED TO TEN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. THE RESULT, AFTER A ONE DAY EFFORT, WAS COLLECTION OF 200 POUNDS OF GARBAGE, REMOVAL OF 50 CUBIC METERS OF MUD AND THE CLEANING UP OF TWO MILES OF COMMUNITY ROADS AND MARKET PLACES.
CONDUCTED SIMULATION OF EVACUATION EXERCISES FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ENSURING RAPID AND EFFECTIVE RESPONSE IN THE EVENT OF A NATURAL DISASTER. 20 VOLUNTEERS WERE ASSIGNED TO ONE OF FIFTEEN BUILDINGS WHERE THEY REPORTED TO A CO-ORDINATOR FOR INSTRUCTIONS. 5,000 EMPLOYEES RECEIVED SAFETY TRAINING EXERCISES, 3 SAFETY SIGNS WERE INSTALLED AND JACKETS AND T-SHIRTS WERE ISSUED TO TEN RESCUERS WHO WERE PLACED IN EACH BUILDING.
