REDEMPTION OUTREACH WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE SAFE AND SUPERVISED HOUSING ENVIRONMENT FOR MEN AND WOMEN CURRENTLY IN THE APPALACHIAN JUDICIAL CIRCUIT ACCOUNTABILITY COURT PROGRAMS. THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE EITHER HOMELESS OR DO NOT HAVE ADEQUATE LIVING CONDITIONS FOR SUSTAINING THEIR RECOVERY. REDEMPTION OUTREACH HAS TWO HOMES, THE DEPOT HOUSES THE MEN IN THE PROGRAM AND THE ELSIE GILLAM HOME HOUSES THE WOMEN CURRENTLY IN THE PROGRAM. PARTICPANTS PAY THE ORGANIZATION FOR HOUSING, FOOD AND TRANSPORTATION. PARTICIPANTS ATTEND MEETINGS AND CLASSES AND PARTICPANTS ARE SUPERVISED BY HOUSE PARENTS TO PROMOTE REHABILITATION FROM DRUG AND ALCHOHOL ABUSE. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC, OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.
