THE CENTER SUPPORTS AND ADVOCATES ON BEHALF OF CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTERS (CAC) AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS (MDT) STATEWIDE. CAC'S ARE FACILITY BASED PROGRAMS, WHICH UTILIZE AN MDT APPROACH (INCLUDING CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, LAW ENFORCEMENT, MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND PROSECUTION) TO INVESTIGATE AND INTERVENE IN CHILD ABUSE CASES.

ATTORNEY GENERAL GRANT IS USED TO TRAIN FORENSIC INTERVIEWERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND PROSECUTERS ABOUT CHILD ABUSE CASES AND PROVIDE SUBAWARDS TO AREA MS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTERS TO HELP THEM SERVICE ABUSED CHILDREN IN THEIR DISCTRICTS.
VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT MDT ENHANCEMENT PROJECT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO LOCAL CAC'S MDT ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS AND PROVIDE TRAINING FOR MDT GROUPS TO BETTER EDUCATE THE MDT FORCE IN RELATION TO CHILD ABUSE CASES.
CHILDREN'S JUSTICE ACT PROGRAM TO IMPROVE THE ASSESSMENT AND INVESTIGATION OF SUSPECTED CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT CASES IN A MANNER THAT LIMITS ADDITIONAL TRAUMA TO THE CHILD AND THE CHILD'S FAMILY.
