ORGANIZED ANNUAL POETRY CONTEST AND CALL FOR ARTISTS. TEAMED UP WITH THE ONONDAGA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION TO ISSUE A CALL FOR POETRY IN HONOR OF 11 LEGENDARY FIGURES FROM CENTRAL NEW YORK. THE LEGENDARY FIGURES INCLUDE: GUSTAVE STICKLEY, FATHER OF THE ARTS AND CRAFTS MOVEMENT; HENRY KECK, STAINED GLASS ARTIST; JERMAIN AND SARAH LOGUEN, ABOLITIONISTS AND (SARAH) PIONEERING BLACK PHYSICIAN; ALF JACQUES, ONONDAGA CULTURE KEEPER AND RENOWNED CRAFTER OF LACROSSE STICKS; L. FRANK BAUM, AUTHOR AND CREATOR OF THE WIZARD OF OZ; MOSES WALKER, FIRST BLACK MAN TO PLAY PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL; KAREN DECROW, ATTORNEY, AUTHOR, AND FEMINIST, PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN (1974-77); AND ERIC CARLE, CHILDREN'S BOOK ILLUSTRATOR. PRODUCED ANNUAL SERIES OF 11 POSTERS, EACH FEATURING A LEGENDARY FIGURE. PRINTED TWO SETS OF LARGE-FORMAT POSTERS FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY (TOTAL: 22 POSTERS). CREATED THREE LARGE-FORMAT POSTER PANELS FOR LONG-TERM INSTALLATION IN SIDEWALK WINDOWS OF THE LANDMARK THEATRE. HELD UNVEILING CELEBRATION FOR NEW POSTER SERIES. PARTICIPATED IN SYRACUSE ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL. CONTINUED WORK WITH PROFESSIONAL WEB DEVELOPER AND CODING INTERNS FROM LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS TO REDEVELOP THE PROJECT'S WEBSITE. COMPLETED REDEVELOPMENT OF THE SITE. SERVED APPROXIMATELY 300 POETS, 30 ARTISTS, AND 1.8 MILLION PEDESTRIANS ABLE TO VIEW PUBLICLY DISPLAYED POSTERS.
