ONE NATION IS ENGAGED IN PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS AND DIRECT CONTACT WITH INTERESTED CONSTITUENCIES TO ADVOCATE POLICY OUTCOMES ON PENDING LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ISSUES SUCH AS: HEALTH CARE REFORM, TAXES, SPENDING AND DEFICITS, CONGRESSIONAL REFORM AND ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THESE ISSUE ADVOCACY AND GRASSROOTS LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS TO PROMOTE POLICIES THAT STRENGTHEN THE NATION'S ECONOMY, REDUCE REGULATION OF PRIVATE SECTOR ACTIVITY, AND RESTORE GOVERNMENT TO A SOUND FINANCIAL FOOTING.

THE FOCUS OF THESE ADVOCACY EFFORTS MAY INCLUDE LEGISLATION,BUDGET PRIORITIES, REGULATIONS, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND INVESTIGATIONS, ANDOTHER POLICYMAKING ACTIVITIES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ENGAGES CITIZENSTO PARTICIPATE IN GRASSROOTS ADVOCACY ON PENDING LEGISLATIVE ISSUESTHROUGH PAID ADVERTISING, MAILINGS, E-MAILS, AND WEB-BASED ADVOCACYTOOLS.
