ORGANIZE FLORIDA IS COMPRISED OF DEDICATED ORGANIZERS AND MEMBERS WHO BRING COMMUNITIES TOGETHER, ONE DOOR AT A TIME, TO JOIN IN THE FIGHT FOR SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS, HEALTHY FAMILIES, QUALITY EDUCATION, GOOD JOBS, JUSTICE, EQUALITY AND A MORE REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZING - WE ENGAGE IN DOOR-TO-DOOR ORGANIZING IN MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES TO BUILD A MOVEMENT OF TRAINED LEADERS WHO WILL TAKE ACTION TO HOLD ELECTED OFFICIALS ACCOUNTABLE FOR POLICIES THAT HARM THEIR COMMUNITIES.
EXPANDING DEMOCRACY - WE EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPANDING THE ELECTORATE THROUGH THE PASSAGE OF A RIGHTS RESTORATION BALLOT INITIATIVE KNOWN AS AMENDMENT 4. THIS WAS DONE THROUGH A BROADBASED VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN THAT PARTICIPATED IN DOOR KNOCKING, PHONE CALLS, AND EVENT FACILITATION.
OTHER PROGRAMS - OUR ORGANIZERS WORK WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO FACILITATE ISSUE CAMPAIGNS IN AREAS SUCH AS CRIMINAL JUSTICE, HOUSING, AND CLIMATE JUSTICE. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, MEETING FACILITATION AND A VARIETY OF TECHNIQUES AND TACTICS TO REACH MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA.
