THE LGBTQ CENTER OF THE CAPE FEAR COAST PROVIDES SAFE SPACES FOR THE COMMUNITY TO GATHER, RESOURCES, AND ADVOCACY TO FIGHT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW. PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE ANNUAL PRIDE PROM, AN EVENT TO CELEBRATE AND UPLIFT THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY; SAFEZONE TRAINING, PROVIDING AWARENESS AND ALLY WORKSHOPS OFFERED TO COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND INDIVIDUAL THROUGHOUT THE REGION; WILMINGTON PRIDE YOUTH GROUP, CONNECTING LGBTQ+ YOUTH WITH THEIR PEERS AND ALLIES AND PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT OF MUTUAL RESPECT WHILE ENCOURAGING SELF-DISCOVERY; AND OWLS (OUT WILMINGTON LGBTQ SENIORS), BRINGING OUR LGBTQ+ ELDERS TOGETHER BY ORGANIZING SOCIAL GATHERINGS TO BUILD SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY FOR EACH OTHER.
