THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN WRITERS MUSEUM IS TO ENGAGE THE PUBLIC IN CELEBRATING AMERICAN WRITERS AND EXPLORING THEIR INFLUENCE ON OUR HISTORY, OUR IDENTITY, OUR CULTURE, AND OUR DAILY LIVES.

MAINTAIN AND OPERATE AN INTERACTIVE AND IMMERSIVE SET OF EXHIBITS FOR THE PUBLIC THAT CELEBRATE THE PROFOUND IMPACT OF WRITERS AND THEIR WORK ON AMERICAN HISTORY, CULTURE, AND OUR DAILY LIVES. THROUGH PUBLIC PROGRAMS WITH MODERN AUTHORS AND EXTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES WITH SCHOOLS ACROSS THE REGION THE MUSEUM SERVES THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS AROUND THE REGION TO INSPIRE THE WRITERS OF THE FUTURE. ALONG WITH ITS IN-PERSON IMPACT ON VISITORS, MEMBERS, AND STUDENTS, THE AMERICAN WRITERS MUSEUM MAINTAINS A ROBUST ONLINE PRESENCE OF EXHIBIT DRIVEN WEBSITES WITH EXTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO ACCESS.
