THE TEXAS WATER MISSION SUPPORTS COMMUNITIES IN NEED BY PROVIDING SAFE DRINKING WATER AND HYGIENE SOLUTIONS.

HONDURAS: WE DRILLED A WATER WELL (80 GPM) AND CONDUCTED A 5-DAY HEALTH AND HYGIENE WORKSHOP IN THE COMMUNITY OF EL BARRO. WE PARTNERED WITH WORLD VISION TO TEST WATER AND INSTALL AN ELECTRIC PUMP. WE COMPLETED WELL MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND REPAIRS (WHEN NEEDED) AT 15 WELL SITES. WE PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED REPLACEMENT COUNTERTOP CHARCOAL FILTERS FOR THE 59 DOMESTIC WATER FILTERS PROVIDED IN 2021. A VISIT TO HONDURAS IN MAY BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND A VOLUNTEER INCLUDED MEETINGS WITH COMMUNITIES NEEDING WELLS, ZAMORANO LAB PROFESSORS, EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF HONDURAS, AND NONPROFIT PARTNERS. WE STARTED A COLLABORATIVE COFFEE PROGRAM TO SUPPORT OUR PROJECTS IN HONDURAS. BEANS ARE GROWN AT SMALL FARMS IN HONDURAS, ROASTED NEAR SAN ANTONIO, AND SOLD ON TWM WEBSITE, EVENTS, AND LOCAL COFFEE SHOPS.


NAVAJOLAND: WE PLANNED, DESIGNED, PRICED, AND BID OUT A NEW PLUBLIC WATER ACCESS POINT AT ST MARY'S IN THE MOONLIGHT.
