FAMILY PROMISE OF NEWROCK (FPNR) WAS ESTABLISHED IN RESPONSE TO THE RISING NUMBER OF HOMLESS FAMILIES IN ROCKDALE ADN NEWTON COUNTIES. FPNR WORKS TO HELP FAMILIES OUT OF HOMLESSNESS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF TEMPORARY HOUSEING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. SERVING UP TO FOUR FAMILIIES AT ONE TIME. FPNR PROVIDES INTENSIVE SPECIFIC SUPPORT TO THE GUEST FAMILIES SO THEY CAN GRADUATE IN AN AVERAGE OF 60 DAYS. THE PROGRAM HAS SERVERAL MAIN FOCUS AREAS: FOOD AND SHELTER, CASE MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. FPNR HELPED 65 FAMILIES AND HAD TO GET AN EIDL LOAN TO CONTINUE OPERATIONS DUE TO A DROP IN DONATIONS. WE COULD NOT HAVE ANY FUNDRAISING EVENTS DUE TO COVID.
