CRISIS INTERVENTION - PROVIDES BASIC NEEDS ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES, LIVING WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE BELLEVILLE DIOCESE AND EXPERIENCING DIFFICULT FINANCIAL AND EMOTIONAL TIMES, BY PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD, ASSISTANCE WITH UTILITY BILLS AND HOUSING COSTS, AND SERVES AS AN ADVOCATE FOR THOSE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT, GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE, AND/OR MEDICAL SERVICES.


HOUSING SECURITY - PROVIDES SHELTER, SUPPORT SERVICES, AND TRANSITIONAL CASE MANAGEMENT FOR CITIZENS IN THE METROPOLITAN EAST ST. LOUIS AREA. HOLISTIC CARE IS GIVEN TO MEET THE NEEDS AND CONCERNS OF WOMEN, MEN, AND CHILDREN WHO ARE CAUGHT IN THE TEMPORARY WEB OF POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS OR FROM SOME CATASTROPHIC EXPERIENCE THAT RENDERED THEM WITHOUT A STABLE LIVING SITUATION.


OUT OF SCHOOL TIME - THE PURPOSE OF THE OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM IS TO WORK WITH CHILDREN FROM INTERGENERATIONAL POVERTY WHO RESIDE IN EAST ST. LOUIS PUBLIC HOUSING TO REALIZE THEIR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL AND DEVELOP INTO HAPPY, HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. THUS, THEY ARE BREAKING THE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL POVERTY. PROGRAMS SERVE SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN RESIDING IN PUBLIC HOUSING IN EAST ST. LOUIS. THROUGH AFTER SCHOOL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS, CHILDREN ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO INCREASE THEIR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, DEVELOP SOCIAL SKILLS, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND SENSITIVITY TO OTHERS SO THEY CAN MOVE INTO THE LARGER WORLD WITH DIGNITY AND CONFIDENCE. THE OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE GRIFFIN CENTER.
