THE MISSION OF MODERNISM WEEK IS TO CELEBRATE AND FOSTER APPRECIATION OF MIDCENTURY ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN, AS WELL AS CONTEMPORARY THINKING IN THESE FIELDS, BY ENCOURAGING EDUCATION, PRESERVATION, AND SUSTAINABLE MODERN LIVING AS REPRESENTED IN PALM SPRINGS.

THE SHOWCASING AND RECOGNITION OF THE MID-CENTURY PERIOD OF DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE. EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES HELD TO MEET THIS END AND TO UTILIZE ANY SURPLUS FUNDS TO A)OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL STUDENTS WHO WISH TO PURSUE STUDIES IN THE FIELD AND B) PRESENT AND GROW THE EVENT FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR.
