WE HOSTED DINNER PARTIES, OUTINGS AND ZOOM MEETINGS BASED ON MAJOR AMERICAN HOLIDAYS EASTER, HALLOWEEN, THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS TO EXPLAIN THE HISTORICAL AND RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. SPONSORED A THANKSGIVING DINNER AND PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT LOCAL CHURCH STUDENTS ATTENDED A CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE. WE VIEWED CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN OUR TOWN AND SHARED THE STORY OF BIRTH OF JESUS. WE HELD WEEKLY MEETINGS AT CSULB WITH STUDENTS TO DISCUSS LIFE AND CHRISTIAN FAITH. STAFF FACILITATED SMALL GROUP STUDIES WITH STUDENTS IN PERSON AND BY ZOOM TO LEARN ABOUT THE BIBLE AND LIFE OF JESUS. WE HOSTED AND SPONSORED WEEKLY FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER MEETINGS AVERAGING ABOUT 20 ATTENDEES. WE HELD MONTHLY GATHERINGS FOR STUDENTS. PROGRAMS INCLUDED DISCUSSION ON LIFE TOPICS, EXPLORATION OF CHRISTIAN FAITH AND RECREATION AND GAMES AT A LOCAL CHURCH. IN THE SPRING WE TOOK STUDENTS TO VISIT YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK. WE WERE HOSTED IN AMERICAN HOMES AND ATTENDED A COUNTRY CHURCH WORSHIP SERVICE. WE SPONSORED WEEKEND OVERNIGHT GETAWAYS IN THE LOCAL MOUNTAINS FOR RECREATION AND TEACHING. THE ACTIVITIES WERE HIKING, SIGHTSEEING AND DISCUSSIONS ON TEACHINGS OF JESUS. ONE WINTER WEEKEND WE TAUGHT STUDENTS TO SKI.
