TO ADVANCE THE LIFE SKILLS OF UNDERPERFORMING AND UNDERPRIVILEGED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY, AS GUIDED BY BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES AND A CHRISTIAN WORLD VIEW. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PROGRAMS ARE THE CLUB AND THE SUMMER CLUB TO PROVIDE MENTORING, LIFE SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES TO STUDENTS.

COMMNITY ADVANCE HAS ESTABLISHED AN ANUAL SCHOLARSHIP PORGRAM PROVICING FOUR NORTHWEST CLASSEN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATESFUNDING FOR UP TO FOUR YEARS TO APPROVED COLLEGE ESPENSES (UPTO $2500.00 PER ACADEMIC YEAR) WHILE ATTENDING ANY ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA. THE FIRST TWO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES WERE SELECTED IN THE SPRING OF 2014. AWARDEES MAY REQUEST THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE TO DEFER ACTIVATION OF PAYMENTS FROM THIS SOURCE FOR UP TWO YEARS. IN ADDITION, INDIVIDUALS AWARDEES WHO HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF FUNDING FOR TUITION OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL COSTS MAY REQUEST THAT PAYMENTS FROM THIS SCHOLARSHIP INTERGRATED WITH THEIR FUNDING FROM ALTERNATIVE SOURCE(S). THIS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRA M IS UNDERWRITTEN BY ENDOWMENT FUNDS CONTRIBUTED AS A DESIGNATED MEMORIAL. PAYMENTS OR APPORVED EDUCATIONAL EXPENSE ITEMS ARE MADE BY CHECKS ISSUED DIRECTLY TO THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF OTHER VENDOR. THIS SCHOLARSHIP PORGRAM CONTINUED AS PLANNED


THE CLUB - A TOTAL OF 67 STUDENTS ENROLLED AND PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM, THAT INCLUDES ACTIVITIES, A MEAL, MENTORING, DEVOTIONALS, LIFE SKILLS PRESENTATIONS, CAREER PLANNING, AND A GOSPEL PRESENTATION.


THE SUMMER CLUB - A TOTAL OF 115 STUDENTS ENROLLED AND PARTICIPATED IN THE SUMMER CLUB PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, MOVIES, COMPUTER LAB ACCESS, AND FIELD TRIPS, AND A GOSPEL PRESENTATION. THERE WERE 1,117 LUNCHES AND 1,432 SNACKS PROVIDED TO THE STUDENTS.


SCHOLARSHIPS - FIVE GRADUATING SENIORS WERE AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 17 RECIPIENTS RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS.
