THE PURPOSE OF STOP CMV INCLUDES TRAVEL AND MEETINGS WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL LAW MAKERS AND HEALTH OFFICIALS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE PREVENTION AND ELIMINATION OF CONGENITAL CMV AND AS WELL AS IMPROVING THE LIVES OF ALL PEOPLE AFFECTED BY CONGENITAL CMV. DURING 2015, REPRESENTATIVES OF STOP CMV TRAVELED TO DISCUSS PROMOTING CMV AWARENESS TO LEGISLATORS. ADDITIONALLY, STOP CMV MAINTAINS ITS WEB PAGE WITH UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION, ARTICLES AND OTHER RESOURCES TO HELP ALL FAMILIES EFFECTED BY CONGENITAL CMV.TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF CONGENITAL CMV, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF STOP CMV VOTED TO MERGE ITS OPERATIONS AND AWARENESS PROGRAM INTO THE NATIONAL CMV FOUNDATION. DURING 2015, STOP CMV TRANFERRED ALL OF IT CASH AND INTANGIBLE ASSETS (WEB-SITE, CONTACT LISTS, ETC.) TO THE NEW FOUNDATION. THE TOTAL CASH TRANSFER TO THE NEW FOUNDATION WAS $228,293.
