JAMES R. JORDAN FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING CAPACITY IN DEVELOPING COMMUNITIES WORLDWIDE AND IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS TO HEALTH AND EDUCATION DISPARITIES BY CONNECTING LOCAL CHALLENGES WITH GLOBAL PARTNERS.

ORGANIZATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO A COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO RESIDENTS,HEALTH WORKERS, POLICE AND JUDICIARY PERSONNEL IN NAIROBI,KIAMBU,NYERI, KAJIADO, MACHAKOS, NAKURU AND LAIKIPIA COUNTIES IN KENYA WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (GBV) CASES IN THESE COMMUNITIES AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF GBV SURVIVORS THROUGH ACCESS TO SERVICES AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT.


ORGANIZATION RAISES AWARENESS AND FOSTERS PARTNERSHIPS TO BUILD A STATE-OF-THE ART WELLNESS CENTER KNOWN AS KENYA WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S WELLNESS CENTRE (KWCWC) IN NAIROBI, KENYA TO PROVIDE A CONTINUUM OF PREVENTION, CLINICAL, RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. THE WELLNESS CENTER WILL BE COMPRISED OF A GENDER VIOLENCE RECOVERY CENTRE, TRAINING INSTITUTES, RESEARCH AND DATA CENTER, FAMILY VILLAGE, HOSPITAL AND OUTPATIENT CLINICS, AND A FORENSIC LABORATORY.


ORGANIZATION RECEIVED CONTRIBUTIONS DESIGNATED FOR DONATION TO CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOL AND TO LOW-INCOME STUDENTS AT 5 CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PROVIDING THEIR FAMILIES WITH THANKSGIVING TURKEYS.
