REPRESENTING AND SUPPORTING 41 DIFFERENT TEAMS OF STUDENT ATHLETES AT BATTLEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL, THE ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB ABC SUPPLEMENTS EXISTING SCHOOL BUDGETS IN THE AREAS OF EQUIPMENT, UNIFORMS, OFFICIALS, FIELD MAINTENANCE, SECURITY, TRAINING FACILITIES, AND TRANSPORTATION TO HOST ALL OF THESE SPORTS EACH SEASON. CAPITAL AND FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS ARE ALSO A PART OF THE FOCUS OF THE ABC.

REPRESENTING AND SUPPORTING 41 DIFFERENT TEAMS OF STUDENT ATHLETES AT BATTLEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL, THE ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB ABC SUPPLEMENTS EXISTING SCHOOL BUDGETS IN THE AREAS OF EQUIPMENT, UNIFORMS, OFFICIALS, FIELD MAINTENANCE, SECURITY, TRAINING FACILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION TO HOST ALL OF THESE SPORTS EACH SEASON. CAPITAL AND FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS ARE ALSO A PART OF THE FOCUS OF THE ABC. APPROXIMATELY 1,900 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN ATHLETIC ENDEAVORS DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR, REPRESENTING 2/3 OF THE ENTIRE STUDENT BODY.


AT LEAST TWO STUDENTS PER YEAR ARE SELECTED AS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS BASED UPON A SET OF REQUIREMENTS POSTED ON THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE PROVISION OF A COMPLETED APPLICATION, CORE AND CUMULATIVE GPA, SAT AND/OR ACT SCORE, ESSAY RESPONSE, AND PARTICIPATION IN A VARSITY TEAM SPORT FOR AT LEAST ONE SEASON IN BOTH JUNIOR AND SENIOR SCHOOL YEARS. THE GRADUATING SENIOR MUST BE ATTENDING A COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, COMMUNITY COLLEGE, OR TRADE SCHOOL FOR THE FALL SEMESTER/QUARTER OF THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR. THREE SCHOLARSHIPS OF $1,000 EACH WERE PAID OUT TO COLLEGES ON BEHALF OF OUR OUTSTANDING STUDENT ATHLETES IN JUNE OF 2022. WE PLAN TO GIVE $6,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2023 - $1,000 EACH TO THREE MALE AND THREE FEMALE ATHLETES.
