THE RESTORATION ASSOCIATION FOR IMPROVING THE LANDMARK 16TH STREET STATION (RAILS) IS A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION THAT WAS FORMED IN 2008. RAILS CREATED THE BUSINESS PLAN FOR AND WILL IMPLEMENT THE REHABILITATION AND REUSE OF THE HISTORIC 16TH STREET TRAIN STATION IN OAKLAND, CA. THIS CORPORATION HAS BEEN FORMED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION, AND ANY OTHER LAWFUL ACTIVITIES IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSE.
