DAVID AND KATIE GET RE-MARRIED PAIRS DAVID CARL (GARY BUSEY'S ONE-MAN HAMLET, TRUMP LEAR, THE TENDER BAR) AND KATIE HARTMAN (NETFLIX'S THE WEEK OF, HIGH MAINTENANCE) IN A SLAPDASH WEDDING BETWIXT A STAR-CROSSED COUPLE WHO HAS BROKEN UP AND REUNITED MORE FREQUENTLY THAN SPIDERMAN HAS BEEN REBOOTED. THIS DARK COMEDY WITH ORIGINAL MUSIC FEATURES THE WORST COUPLE IN THE WORLD ON THE SECOND HAPPIEST DAY OF THEIR LIVES AFTER THE FIRST HAPPIEST DAY OF THEIR LIVES DIDN'T WORK OUT. THE WOMEN IN THEATRE FESTIVAL SEEKS TO BROADEN THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY BY PRODUCING NEW WORK BY WOMEN WITH MORE THAN 50% FEMALE REPRESENTATION OF ALL ARTISTS INVOLVED. THERE ARE 5 MAJOR PROGRAMMING INITIATIVES AS PART OF THE FESTIVAL, CENTERING AROUND HYBRID TWO HANDERS, A PROJECT THAT EMBRACES THE NEW ERA OF THEATRE-MAKING. PROJECT Y HAS COMMISSIONED 5 TALENTED WOMEN PLAYWRIGHTS TO CREATE SHORT PLAYS FOR A HYBRID THEATRE. PLAYWRIGHTS ELIZA BENT, KAARON BRISCOE, GEORGINA ESCOBAR, AMINA HENRY, AND ERIN MALLON WERE ASKED TO WRITE PLAYS THAT INVITE IN AN AUDIENCE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY STREAMING AND IN-PERSON AUDIENCES. "YOGA WITH JILLIAN" PERFORMED TWICE AT THE MOMENTUM FESTIVAL AT PITTSBURGH CITY FESTIVAL AND IN MIDDLEBURY, VT AS PART OF TOWN HALL THEATRE. IT FEATURED MICHOLE BIANCOSINO AS JILLIAN, AND IT WAS DIRECTED BY ANDREW SMITH. "YOGA WITH JILLIAN" IS TO BE THE CENTERPIECE OF THE 2023 WOMEN IN THEATRE FESTIVAL.
