THE PARADE IS TELEVISED ON A LOCAL CABLE NETWORK AND SEVERAL GUEST SPEAKERS APPEAR TO DISCUSS A VARIETY OF IRISH EDUCATIONAL TOPICS. THE COMMITTEE HOSTS A POST PARADE LECTURE ON THE HISTORY OF IRELAND AND THE IRISH INFLUENCE IN THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IRISH POLITICIANS OF JERSEY CITY, THE IRISH IMMIGRATION TO JERSEY CITY AND THE MASS IMMIGRATION AS A RESULT OF THE IRISH POTATO FAMINE. IN ADDITION THE COMMITTEE HOLD AN IRISH FESTIVAL WHICH IS A MECCA OF IRISH HISTORY AND CULTURE.
