ACT V RESCUE & REHABILITATION'S MISSION IS TAKING IN ANIMALS WITH EXTREME MEDICAL OR BEHAVIORAL ISSUES AND THOUGHTFULLY REHOMING THE MOST UNWANTED AND NEGLECTED ANIMALS, PROVIDING A HEALING AND CARING ENVIRONMENT WHERE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REHABILITATION IS POSSIBLE.

IN 2023, ACT V RESCUE & REHABILITATION RESCUED 25 CATS AND 5 DOGS. THEY CAME FROM RED LAKE RESERVATION, LEACH LAKE LEGACY (WHITE EARTH, PINE RIDGE AND MILLE LACS RESERVATIONS), ANIMAL CONTROL, AND PRIVATE PARTIES. IN 2023, 90% OF THE ANIMALS ACT V TOOK IN REQUIRED MEDICAL CARE SUCH AS EMERGENCY AND INTENSIVE CARE, REFERRAL TO SPECIALISTS, COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL WORK-UP, ADVANCED DENTAL SURGERY, AS WELL AS TREATMENT WITH AN EXPERIMENTAL DRUG THERAPY FOR A FATAL DISEASE. A SMALL SAMPLING OF SOME OF OUR CASES IN 2023 INCLUDE 5 SETS OF ORPHAN KITTENS; 2 SETS OF MOTHER AND KITTENS; 2 SETS OF SENIOR CATS; A PAIR OF SENIOR DOGS THAT WERE FOUND ABANDONED IN AN EMPTY APARTMENT, EACH REQUIRED ADVANCED DENTAL PROCEDURES THAT INCLUDED ABSCESSED TEETH; 1 SENIOR CAT DIAGNOSED WITH UNTREATED THYROID DISEASE, THAT REQUIRED BLOODWORK AND CHRONIC MEDICATIONS, AND ADVANCED DENTAL DISEASE THAT REQUIRED EXPENSIVE DENTAL PROCEDURE; 1 STRAY DOG WITH AN OLD INJURY THAT REQUIRED ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY; 1 CAT WITH A FATAL DISEASE THAT WAS TREATED WITH EXPERIMENTAL MEDICAL TREATMENT AND IS DOING WELL; 1 DOG FROM ANIMAL CONTROL, THE NEGLECT REQUIRED HUMANE EUTHANASIA. ACT V RESCUE WAS ABLE TO TREAT AND REHOME 98% OF THE ANIMALS WE TOOK IN. ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED ROUGHLY 2,000 HOURS OF TIME TO RESCUE, REHABILITATE AND REHOME THESE ANIMALS. THE LAST THREE MONTHS WERE DEDICATED TO CLOSING DOWN THE BUSINESS.
