SUPPORTS BACKPACK MEDICS WHO PROVIDE COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES TO ISOLATED VILLAGES AND INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS IN BURMA'S CONFLICT ZONES; PROVIDES GRASSROOTS EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO EMPOWER THE PEOPLE OF BURMA; PROVIDES FILM DOCUMENTARY ACTIVIITES.

BHM SUPPORTS 45 BACKPACK MEDIC TEAMS WITH MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES. TRAINS 22 NEW MEDICS. TEAMS SUPPORT OVER 120,000 PEOPLE AND TREATED OVER 26,000 PATIENTS. REDUCED INFANT MORTALITY RATE FROM HISTORIC HIGH OF 135 DEATHS 1,000 BIRTHS TO LESS THAN 2 DEATHS PER 1,000 BIRTHS.


MINMAHAW SCHOOL PROVIDED SECONDARY EDUCATION TO OVER 50 STUDENTS ALLOWING 2 3 TO QUALIFY FOR COLLEAGE UNIVERSITIES.
