BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE, GEOGRAPHICALLY DISTRIBUTED DARK ARCHIVE WITH WHICH TO ENSURE THE LONG-TERM SURVIVAL OF WEB-BASED SCHOLARLY PUBLICATIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GREATER GLOBAL RESEARCH COMMUNITY. THE CLOCKSS ARCHIVE GREW BY 3.9 MILLION JOURNAL ARTICLES, TO 49.7 MILLION, AND BOOK HOLDINGS INCREASED BY 71% OR 182,300 BOOKS, TO 439,850. 4 PARTICIPATING PUBLISHERS ADDED BOOK BACKFILES TO THE ARCHIVE, 1 ADDED BOTH BOOK AND JOURNAL BACKFILES, AND A TOTAL OF 80 NEW PUBLISHERS BEGAN PRESERVING WITH THE CLOCKSS ARCHIVE. ONE NEW LIBRARY BECAME A CLOCKSS SUPPORTER, AND THIS IS WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS.
