BICYCLE GIVEAWAYS - THE ORGANIZATION COLLECTED, REPAIRED AND DISTRIBUTED 2,084 BIKES FREE OF CHARGE IN THE INNER CITY OF ROCHESTER, NY. OUR 56 UNPAID VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED 12,933 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER TIME. IN ADDITION , WE REPAIRED 2,848 BIKES.
WHEN GIVEAWAY RECIPIENTS WITH CHILDREN COME IN THEY ARE OFFERED A CERTIFICATE FOR A $5.00 TOKEN AT OUR LOCAL FARM MARKET. WHEN THESE CERTIFICATES ARE REDEEMED WE ARE CHARGED $5.00 BY THE MARKET. THIS PROGRAM WAS SUSPENDED DURING COVID.
WE PROVIDE FREE ADULT TRIKES TO CANDIDATES UNABLE TO RIDE A TWO-WHEEL BIKE BUT WHO HAVE THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL COMPETENCY TO SAFELY RIDE A TRIKE. IN 2022 WE GAVE AWAY 12 (7 NEW AND 5 USED)
